Eligibility

  • Nominee must be a full-time faculty or staff member at Penn State Berks
  • Nominee must be the documented adviser of a SGA-recognized student organization 

Criteria for Judging

  • Provided outstanding advisement and support to their organization throughout the academic year
  • Visible and integral part to the success of the student organization
  • Contributed to the growth and development of individual students in the organization
  • Considered a role model in terms of club advisement
  • Assists students through leadership development
  • Contributions to campus and/or surrounding community
  • Nominations can/should include a description of how the advisor supports the student organization, student leaders and student organization programs and events. 

Procedure 

  • Nominations accepted from any Berks student, faculty, or staff member. Self-nominations also accepted
  • Nomination Rationale outlining the adviser’s qualifications for the award as they relate to established criteria (see below)
  • Nomination Form (see below)

Selection Committee

  • Director, Student Affairs
  • Assistant Director, Student Leadership 
  • Student Government President
  • Faculty Member
